Hutovo blato
Hutovo blato is a bird reservation that is created by the deep waters of the river Krupa.
The international council for bird protection had put this reservation on a list of very important bird reservations - for a reason - it is the largest reservation in this part of Europe. It is surrounded by Daransko jezero (Daransko lake) and contains over 240 bird types. When migration time comes, this lake gets filled with birds.
The best way to observe all the birds is to rent a little boat. A 6 person "Barcos" costs 20EUR per hour. A bigger one, a 10 person boat costs 30EUR per hour. The biggest is the 10 person one which costs 50EUR per hour.
Hutovo blato is around 5 kilometers far from Nevesinje and is ideal for bird and nature lovers.
